About Child Theme setup

I want to ask, after I setup my own child theme for Shapely, if I go to “Appearance > Customize” in my Wordpress Dashboard, is the options still come from the original Shapely theme? If later Shapely theme got upgraded, and it changed some customization options, will I see the updated customization options after I upgraded the Shapely theme too?

Yes, the options still come from the original Shapely theme. This is the reason why we always recommend to use a child theme :If later Shapely theme got upgraded, and you changed some customization options, you will see the updated customization options after you upgraded the Shapely theme.
