About Me in sidebar for Activello WordPress theme

Hello!

I noticed that there is no widget to add an about me section in the sidebar as shown in the demo. How can I add it?

Figured it out!

You just have to add the url of your photo in the text space!

when you say the photo url, are you referring to the photo listed on my “about me” page? Also, do i need to type in my short bio under the photo link?

This is why I did step by step, I’m sure there’s an easier way to do it but it worke for me.

Create a new post, upload a photo in the article, then look switch to the text viewer, copy the url.
Open text widget, paste the url of the photo
Write whatever you want to show up under your photo

I am not referring to any photo in particular, just pick one you like. It doesn’t have to be the same one as in your about me page

I tried it on mine, but the photo posts right next to my badge, versus top to bottom.

The images displayed in the theme demo sidebar from Instagram using the widget from http://snapwidget.com/ so you can use the same to display it on your site.

Hi,
maybe I can help:)
First of all add your photo to media, then copy the URL link (make sure that photo have the same widt as sidebar). Then go to APPEARANCE ->WIGET.
Add TEXT wiget to sidebar and create the name ABOUT ME. In the text area paste this:

Under this just write abuot me text

Thanks @Movin,

Website is thehoardermag.com - trying to display the image in the text widget, about me and when I paste the photo URL from my library (as suggested above) it only displays the text not the image.

Also on the home page for some reason the sidebar is in the centre of the page - is this just because there is no content?

Also - how do I get the homepage to display the boxed posts (2 recent posts full screen followed by smaller boxes underneath) as per the demo?

You should add image URL in the image HTML tag as following.

Hi

I am also having this problem but the URL isn’t even showing up on the site. I seem to be having a problem with all the widgets I’m trying to add. My social media icons aren’t appearing when I’ve activated them and neither is this.

Should I be changing the visibility which is next to the save button? Or am I doing something else wrong?
