Add login shortcode to blog sidebar

I am trying to get a login form for my blog sidebar, but I cant figure out which widget would be most useful with this theme.
Attempted to use this which utilizes a shortcode, but didn’t see a free open widget for use within the blog sidebar from the customizer. Does this need to be entered into the php itself, or is there a widget that can be used easily for this task.

I need my fair bit share of research on how to achieve this, but I suspect that if you have a login shortcode you can add a text widget and place the shortcode there.

Let me know if you got it alright this way.
