Hi!
Iam currently relaunching my homepage and since then Iam googling a lot about how to set up Activello, translate some parts (got some nice little plugins from here to fix this) to German and also wondering how to add a Twitch social icon for the footer.
I found one recommendation here but that didn’t work for me. Also the php files aren’t structured that way anymore.
Any suggestions on how to do that?

You can add more custom social icons by developing CSS code as described in the following reply.

Can you also tell me how to make the links just open in a new tab? If I check “open in new tab” in the menu options, it opens straight on the side and also in a new tab. I just want it to be opened in a new tab.

It should work by checking “open in new tab” in the menu options but if it doesn’t work for you then could you please share me your site URL where it’s happening so that i can troubleshoot it?

Also I’ve got a question concerning changing the footer (in my child theme - changes for activello itself work perfectly fine as you can see, but I want to include the code into my child theme so I don’t have to change it after updates) - should I request this in another thread?
I visited your shared site and found you are facing this issue because you are using custom solution posted in the below topic to make the top level menu link work.

To resolve this issue please remove that solution and use the custom plugin solution shared in the following topic.

Unfortunately that doesn’t work for me.
In another thread I asked for a solution on getting parent menu clicked for desktop and mobile homepage and the plugin before worked perfect. But obviously this has affected the social navigation as well. With the new plugin you linked, the parent menus aren’t clickable anymore which is important for my homepage.
Any solution you can suggest? I am very new to Wordpress and PHP, so I’m not able to do this on my own yet…

I logged in to your site and saw you were still using the old plugin so i added the new custom plugin code in your old plugin and the social links started working fine.
Could you please check it and let me know how it works for you?
I was using the old plugin because the new one didn’t open my parent menu link. So I rather wanted the social icons open twice than getting the parent menu click able.
But now everything seems to work fine (at least mobile, I have to check on the computer).
