Adding post excerpt in slider

Hi,

I’m looking to add the custom post excerpt into the caption area ind the activello slider. Unfortunately I havn’t succeeded yet. Can you help me with this issue?

Also how do I make only one assigned category appear in the caption area? For now, if I mark a post with two or more category, they all appear in the slider caption area. I only want one category to show.

I would like the slider caption area to include:

  • one category. (“nyheder”)
  • Title
  • custom post excerpt
  • “read more” link

You can try achieve thing this by using the attached custom child theme of Activello theme specially developed for you that contains some custom code.

Dear Movin,

Thank you for your response.
I added the_excerpt(); in my functions as well as the css changes. But still no luck.
The excerpt is not showing in the slider caption.

Do you have any other suggestions?

Hi Anne,

Have you tried using the shared child theme which is working fine on my test site?

If you have merged the code from the shared child theme in to your existing child theme then could you please share me your child theme so that i can test it on my test site?
