Adding Social links in the top menu, and it doesn't show the icon

Trying to add more social icons at the top header menu. Trying to add (mailto:email.xx.com) expecting to show an envelope icon, as well as the rss icon, but it doesn’t work.
I’m a beginner, kindly help with this.

I went through the code editor and at: Newspaper X: _socials.scss (assets/sass/navigation/_socials.scss), I tried to add more items to the sheet, but after saving, it doesn’t make any changes, and the links still looks like little empty squares in my website.

Some social media icons are not in the theme so you would need the aid of a third party developer to add the new social media images. One of which you can find here:

Another option is to use a plugin such as the following:

I found the stylesheet and added the code for showing the missing icons.

Hello,

You need to use a child theme to contain the changes otherwise they will be removed when the theme updates in the future.
