After theme update, my homepage has lost some images and text

Hello and thank you in advance for helping me.
I have recently built my site using the shapely theme. It is almost complete and was displaying beautifully, the header menu goes straight to the homepage parallax sections flawlessly. My problem appears as such:

Site loads and looks great! if you scroll to the bottom, all the homepage photos and sections appear normal. But… if you select any of the menu options at the top, the page loads to the parallax section, however the image is gone as well as the text. The button is there. Then, if you scroll up or down, various sections are missing photos and text. The header image and text gone. The contact form is missing data and looks wrong, ect…

I have gone into widgets and all the homepage widgets I set are there and it all appears normal on the back end
I have gone to plugins and the shapely companion is there, version 1.2.0.

All functioned perfect until I updated the theme yesterday.

Hello,

In the last update we added a new way of creating a menu and to set prettier URLs for your homepage sections. Can you go ahead and recreate your menu using the Homepage Sections instead of Custom Links?

Thank you,
George.

Hello again. I see the ‘homepage sections’ in the edit menu area. I went ahead and added one as a test that is a duplicate of my existing ‘About Jenny’s Bit’. I am confused as to why the little seach icon is next to the new ‘About Jennys’ Bit menu option. When I click on the new one, the entire homepage is still messed up. My static header is not static, my images are gone as well as the text. I need help on how to do this. Are you saying to delete ALL my custom menu options I currently have on my header and to recreate the menu using the ‘homepage sections’ option that is now in the ‘edit menus’? How is this ‘prettier’? for example, the sections url for ‘about jenny’s bit’ is http://jennysbit.com/#shapely_home_parallax-2 regardeless of the custom menu vs the homepage sections menu. This is not pretty before or after.

I want my menu to function and for my images and texts and parallax sections to all work again. I spent hours working on my website and the update has destroyed it.

Please explain more thoroughly. I am not an expert. http://jennysbit.com

i will leave the homepage secton ‘about jenny’a bit’ and the custom ‘about jenny’s bit’ on the header so you can see.

Thank you,
Jenny

Hello,

Can you please create an user and I’ll take care of your menu. Please set the reply as private.

Thank you,
George.

Hi George,
I applied my menu to the new ‘homepage sections’ and removed the custom links menu. My problem still exists!!
When you first go to the url, the site loads and looks normal. The header menu is sticky and you can scroll up and down and see all the homepage sections. AS SOON as you select any of the homepage sections in the header menu it goes to that section BUT my images and text is gone from other sections when you scroll…ALSO the header is no longer sticky once the homepage sections are selected. The contact form is unusable, My top section image disappears, various section images disappear along with the text, Just a white screen with the button showing. This looks very unprofessional. Prior to the theme update, the site worked and looked perfect. I desperately need this resolved.

I have provided you yesterday with a user and pw to my website as you were going to adjust my menu. I went ahead and did it myself this morning and my problem is still there! I use this site for work. My old jennysbit site is deleted as I am NOW using this new one I made. Please help me.

Jenny

Hello,

Sorry for the late response. I’m unable to change your menu due to user capabilities. Can you check if you have put http://www.jennysbit.com/#shapely_home_parallax-3 as link. You need to put only #shapely_home_parallax-3 and it will be handled by the theme.

Thank you,
George.

Hi again George,

Guess what? It worked! I did have my sites url before the #shapely_home

The static header is also back to normal.

Thank you kind sir,
Jenny
