Burger menu on mobile and tablet not working after WordPress 5.5

Hello,

yesterday I updated to WordPress 5.5 and right after that I noticed that on mobile and tablet the hamburger menu stopped working. The menu is there, but once I click on the burger, nothing happens. I tested on several different devices. The problem is there.

I tested all plugins, there is no plugin conflict.
I also deleted all the additional css - the problem is not cost by the css.

Does this mean that there is nothing I have to do on my end and I just have to wait for the theme developers to fix the issue in the code?
