Can't Customise About and Service Section

Hi There

I have been trying to customise my Illdy site however I can’t customise the About or Service sections. I watched the video Illdy Theme Documentation - Colorlib that shows you how to do it. On the video it shows that when clicking “about” (under customizing) two sections should then come up: General and Front Page-About Sidebar. I do not get this. When I click “about” it appears with what is found in the general section ie: I can only tick the box as to whether show the section, change the title and the description.

Any advice?

Hello Lorna,

It seems like you need to install the theme required Illdy Companion plugin, so please proceed with that and give it another try.

Thanks for the reply. =]
I installed the plugin (along with the others required) because before I installed the plugin it wouldn’t even allow me to do anything in the about section, and it noted that I should install that plugin. However, once it was installed and activated it, it would let me edit the description and title only- as above.

I just doubled checked. The plugin is still showing it is installed and activated when I go to my installed plugins tab.

Should I deactivate it and reactivate it?

Hello Lorna,

It seems like you should head over to the same Dashboard > Appearances > Customize and set up all of your custom content in Widgets.

I feel like I might be missing the issue here so maybe you can please assist with a couple of visual screenshots.

Sorry for my late response, I was away for a few days.
Thanks so much for your response.
So, I went to Dashboard> Appearance> Widgets and then I see I can edit it all. =D
