Categorize Portfolio Page

Is there a way (or trick) to categorize the main Portfolio page generated by Shapely theme? For example, if there are more than 20 pages displayed as thumbnails on the Portfolio page, it’s good to be able to group similar pages together under a categorized title. Like for a designer portfolio, categories would be: Logos, Illustrations, Product Design, Prints, Web Pages, Signage, Ads, etc.

I hope you are doing well today.

As it stands, there isn’t a way to categorize the portfolio widget on the homepage without have a developer add the feature to the widget to have the categorization added.
