change background color for post body and sidebar

Hello,

Is there any way to change the background color of the post body and sidebar but leave the overall background color? I tried editing the code, but nothing worked. I’m interested in making my overall background #f4f4f4 while keeping the background of the posts and sidebar #ffffff - just to segment off the areas.

Thank you! I am loving your theme so far.

Hi @poppyanthology,

I hope you are well today and thank you for your question.

You can try achieving this by adding the following CSS code in the Custom CSS option of your theme on the below path.

Admin Area -> Appearance -> Customize -> Activello Options -> Other -> Custom CSS

html body {
    background-color: #f4f4f4;
}

.main-content-inner,
div#secondary {
    background-color: #fff;
}

Best Regards,
Movin

Thank you so much for the response. I added the code to my Custom CSS and nothing changed. Any other suggestions? You can see my site here: http://poppyanthology.com

Thanks again! I appreciate the help.

I visited your site and found you have also set the body color to white in theme customizer which is same as background color of the posts and sidebar therefore you don’t see any difference.

Please change the site background color by using the following CSS code.

html body, html body.custom-background {
    background-color: #f4f4f4;
}

It worked! Thank you so much! Have a marvelous day!

You are most welcome here :slight_smile:
