Change menu layout to standard wp menu

Can i change the menu lay out to standard wp menu style.
This in case of child menu items.

The thing is the only way i can get the drop down is clicking on the caret i would like to make it in a way when i click on the menu item the drop down appears. The caret is small and most visitors click on the menu item name and then there is no drop down.
Can you give me a hint how to achieve this.
