Change the color of main category in the menu while under its sub-category

Hi,

I just got started with Wordpress and I’m finding the Activello theme very easy to use and perfect for what I’m planning to do.
I’m having a bit of a hard time figuring out something, though. I don’t know if it’s a bug, and I can’t seem to find an answer in the forum (sorry if it’s a double thread ?)

I just created a “Lifestyle” category and a “Wedding” sub-category.
My problem is when I’m under the “Wedding” sub-category, both the “Lifestyle” category and the “Wedding” sub-category changed colours and became purple (by default, I guess).

I already managed to find a solution to the sub-category’s colour in the forum by adding :

#page .dropdown-menu > .active > a{
  background-color: #b8860b;
}

So thank you in advance for this one !

Any idea how I can do the same with the color of that sub-category’s main category ?
By the way, this problem only happens with the current category.
Meaning, if I go to the an other category’s sub-category, the previously purple “Lifestyle” category won’t be purple anymore, but the current category will.

I shared an attachment in case I’m not making any sense. :slight_smile:

Thanks !

Can’t seem to find the edit button on my previous post, so I’ll update here.

There actually was another post with the same problem here : https://colorlibsupport.com/t/one-little-bug-with-the-main-color/

Thanks for all the answers, keep up the good work ! :slight_smile:
