There is a spelling mistake in my website title that appears on the tab, pic attached. I cannot seem to change this. I have tried updated the site title but that did not do anything.

This is WordPress function, changing site title is not possible from the theme only option to change this is from settings > general
if you are using SEO plugin there is a chance that SEO plugin overrides WordPress setting, so check it as well
