Child theme bug

Hi guys,

i have a problem with child theme. when i installed the theme i first altered some files in it and then when i finished with setting up website i created the child theme out of modified illdy theme. i do everything by wordpress codex of making child theme, but it somehow crashes. cant find logo and draws back original background from illdy, customized sections appear like in original illdy theme, live text change preview isnt working, etc… still when i switch back to primary illdy theme (modified one) it works well.

Do you know why is this happening? is it because i altered the theme first and then made the child?

Can you please provide me temporary admin dashboard access via a private message so I can have a closer look?

I cannot tell what is the exact behaviour or what might be causing it otherwise.

Hi ion,
sorry for delayed answer.
please dont update the theme, it will fall apart, and if you turn on the child theme then turn on the maintainance mode.

I managed to login alright, thanks, but the problem seems to be getting a little over my head right now.

Would you be comfortable adding me on Skype (Ion Rutz) to get this sorted somehow?

Also maybe you can make a full backup of your website and then proceed to update the theme to meet the latest version, 1.0.35
