Clarifying Understanding before Shapely Update

Hi Noda! You helped me a ton last year with our website. I need to update the Shapely theme and don’t want to overwrite the CSS changes. Everything is backed up already.

All the css changes were done IN THE CUSTOMIZER’s “Additional CSS.”

What I can’t tell is if I need to create a child theme to preserve this, or if it will be preserved here?

Everyone loves the site, and you’re the one who helped me the most.

Including a screen shot of the customizer and CSS that we tweaked.

Nice to see you again :slight_smile:
By default update there should be a no problem with the update, css changes added in customizer will stay there during update and will be applied on the updated theme, just in case, create backup and update the theme :slight_smile:

Perfect, Noda! If I’d known it was that easy I would have updated it a long time ago!

Now I’m going to redo my second site with Shapely. Can’t wait.
