Combining Child Themes for Clickable Sliders on Mobile & Custom Footer Copyright

Hello,

I recently downloaded the child theme that you created in a previous solution that makes slider images clickable on mobile sites.

I would also like to be able to customize the section of my footer where it says “Theme by Colorlib. Powered by Wordpress.” All the previous solutions for this question involved downloading another child theme.

I’ve tried to combine the code for both child themes myself, but it caused my website to crash. I’ve attached both themes here. Is there any way that you could combine them?

Thank you for all your help!

HI @gold2day,

I hope you are well today and thank you for your question.

I have combined the shared child themes and attached it to this reply.

Best Regards,
Movin

@Movin,

Thank you so much! That works perfectly.

Have an awesome day.

You are most welcome here

Hi Movin,
GREAT THEME, love how easy it is to use as well!

I’ve downloaded the child theme you posted above to remove footer info and add the click functions on mobile, but I’m not sure what the next step would be past the activation step?

Do I need to alter the code in the footer.php doc to remove the “Powered by” text?

Do I need to alter the code in the footer.php doc to remove the “Powered by” text? Once I activate the Child Theme the footer says “Activello” underneath the social menu.

The Child Theme also deleted my slider… :frowning:

Yes you need to alter it in the footer.php file of child theme.

To help us keep support thread separates could you please create your own thread for your question here Activello - Colorlib Support Forum instead of replying on others thread as it makes the thread messy and hard to read.

If you want to you can also add reference of this thread in your newly created thread.

We would be more than happy to help you on your new thread.

Hi @kaliesmith,

I recently installed this child theme, and I had the same questions about the footer and slider at first.

To customize your footer, go to Appearance > Customize > Footer. Type in the text you want in the footer, and it will automatically replace the “Activello.”

You slider might just need to be reactivated. Go to Appearance > Customize > Activello Options > Slider Option. Check the “Show Slider” button and choose a category.

Hope this helps!

@gold2day Your help here is really appreciated.
