Custom CSS code not working

I am trying to add this code to the Custom CSS field:

#site-logo {
text-align: center;
float: none;
}

Sadly, the words center and none are being highlighted and the code isn’t doing anything. The snippet itself is certainly correct so where does the problem lie?

Hi, thanks for the reply. The URL won’t really help as I am currently using a different theme. I am trying to fix a bug which causes the logo not to be vertically centred. This CSS code was recommended on this forum, actually. I tried using CSS codes with different themes but, again, some elements of the snippet are not recognised.

The shared CSS code may not work with other themes so when you use the theme again then share me your site URL so that i can help you.

I know the specific CSS won’t work with other themes but parts like the word center should. I will certainly notify you when I decide to use Sparkling. Thanks!
