Custom Video Posts Types

Hello ColorLib,

I’m amazed about your “Newspaper X” theme!
It’s totally gorgeous!

I was wondering if you could help me figure out, how can I create Custom Video Post Types?
My idea is to play Videos Hosted on YouTube embedded on WP posts.

The posts thumbnails would need a play icon on top, when it gets clicked, it’ll redirect to the single post php where the YouTube video will start playing automatically from the website.

I wouldn’t mind doing everything manually, if I have to upload the thumbnail myself so be it.

Thank you very much for that information!
I was able to successfully create the custom post type.
The only issue I see for now is that the Widgets:

  • Newspaper X - Header Module,
  • Newspaper X - Post Layout , A,B,C,D,
  • Categories: Categories

Are not reflecting the actual Custom posts.
The Category in the main menu is not showing anything neither.

I found out because, I created a Category named “Featured”
The Regular Posts and the Custom Posts use it.
I Created 2 Custom Posts under this Category.

When I select the Featured category on the Newspaper X - Header Module Widget and refresh the home page, nothing appears. Same goes when I click on the Categories Link.

I’m not sure if this would be the plugins issue or a theme compatibility.
Could you please help me figure this out?

I decided to go a different route since I couldn’t achieve the functionality above.
