Decrease Page Margins

Hello,

Please forgive me if this question has already been asked – there are 150 pages worth of topics on this forum, and so far I’ve gone through 20 without seeing an answer to my question.

I am looking for a bit of code to make the margins on my static pages the same as the margins on my post page. The content area is much wider on my static pages, and I want it to be narrower.

My site is erinsalmonwrites.com. I’ve also included screenshots for your convenience.

I hope you are well today and thank you for your question.

You can try achieving this by adding the following CSS code in the Custom CSS option of the latest version of Sparkling theme on the below path.

Admin Area -> Appearance -> Customize -> Sparkling Options -> Other -> Custom CSS

@media (min-width: 992px){
.main-content-inner.col-sm-12.col-md-12 {
    width: 90%;
    margin: 0 auto;
    float: none;
}
}

Thanks, Movin. That seems to have worked.

Now, is there a bit of code to decrease the padding level between the navigation/menu and the site content? I also would love to center the post title/author info etc.

I’m so close to getting it just the way I want it! Thanks so much for your help. :slight_smile:

Use the below custom CSS code to achieve this.

    margin-top: 0;
}
header.entry-header.page-header {
    text-align: center;
}
