I have used the Unite theme on website http://www.rjperformingarts.com.au/ however when you view the website on an I-pad using safari you can’t select the lower level item on the drop down menus. I can’t select Jazz in the Classes drop down menu.

I don’t have iPad so i tested it on mobile device and could select it as shown in the attached screenshot.
Please make sure you are using latest version of Safari browser.
Is this issue occurring for you only on iPad and using safari browser and not using any other browser?

Thanks for that, yes it is only on an i-pad and I have tested on a more up to date one and it is fine. Updating older i-pads is problematic, Apple wants you to upgrade the device!!
Have you tried using any other browser?
Upgraded i-pad software and now working in safari and chrome
