Enable post navigation for custom post types

Hello,

I’m using the sparkling theme and child-theme.
Can you please tell me how I can enable the post-navigation (previous/next post) for custom post types?
I’m using a plugin for application reports which creates custom posts.

You have to develop custom code in your child theme to achieve this as described on the following page.
