enabling HTML tags in widgets or test areas

How can I enable writing html tags in my content, for example </br>

    <style>etc,… etc…

I have asked this question before, and I was answered with a plug-in that I was so happy with it as it gave me the power of adding html tags to my content, which gave me a lot of flexibility and freedom.
the plug-in is removed and to be found as it is not supported anymore … I would like to know what other solution is out there .

Hi,

Can you give us exactly what you needed with screenshots if possible? So that we can help you with the query if that is possible. If that is answered before, can you give me the thread URL? I tried, under your username but could find.

Let us know,

Thanks,
laranz.

I’m having the same problem. HTML tags no longer work. I’ve installed the beta theme, as well as the companion plug-in, but the coding shows, and not the text rendered properly. So, for instance, <em> and <br> show up as is, instead of styling the text.

You can see it here in the 3rd widget down, and some other places on the homepage:

I started a new thread at the URL below, but hadn’t heard back, so am posing the question here.

Thanks in advance,

@laranz , please check this website i have created with shapely few months ago, www.myadmin24.com

back then I have downloaded a plug-in that was given by @movin, and it could enable me to style the website with HTML directly in widget text as you can see. not only playing with color and size of the text, but i could also enable drop down text with html code, and use [short code] to enable pop up msgs and forms.

Please check the old thread: https://colorlibsupport.com/t/is-there-a-way-to-write-html-tags/

and review a post was made on the 19th of Jan. 2017 “Hi @lagregorphoto,
That plugin is not supported, therefore we could not recommend you to use it.
Please, try to post a new thread instead of replying to old ones.
Thank you for understanding,
Cristian”

I’m creating a new website with shapely again, but it seems I can’t html to customize my content anymore !!
small example, <br> won’t break line, but it will be shown on the website as text “<br>”

@tree2x explaining the same problem perfectly as well, check his website…

you should enable the plug in again ! that gives some sort of freedom for the user to play with the content. otherwise it’s really hard to create something good …

update @Laranz : you can’t see what i mean with my website myadmin24.com because it was broken after updating the therme !

Hi @akram,

Can you tell me exactly where you want to add HTML, and steps to recreate the issue, so that I can help you with it?

@tree2x please create a new thread, so that I can help you with your query, if you still needs the same, please tell us exactly where you want to add it and steps to reproduce the issue.

Let us know,

Thanks,
laranz.

@laranz, I did actually already open a new thread, but no one responded, so I added on to this one. Here’s my original:

Hi @tree2x,

Working on it, Will respond you soon  Make sure, you added all the details, exactly where you want to add HTML, and steps to recreate the issue, so that I can help you with it.

Thanks,

The issue has been explained couple of time from both me and @tree2x.

I don’t know how to explain more … please re-read my comment above (February 21, 2017 at 2:41 pm).

what want is simply if I write HTML code in a widget, or in a text widget, it would be rendered and not shown as text.

please refer to my website: myadmin24.com, in the third section you will find an ugly text, that was -before i updated the theme- an html styled table, with colors, fonts and shapes. and now its only text, because after updating the theme is not able to render plain html

make sense ??

@laranz, I’ve replied on the original thread with some screengrabs. I’m hoping that this can be fixed soon.

@akram, I just updated my own thread with some great news! I deactivated and then deleted the companion plugin, and then reinstalled the companion plugin (using the link provided in my dashboard). And now my <br> and <em> appear as rendered text! My other coding (google map) is still showing up as ugly code, but at least this is a bit of progress. Hope that this helps!
