Hi. I faced weird problem with excerpt on the slider and home page.
If I set my site so that the front page displays my latest posts, the excerpt on slider shows the text until “more” tag. That is correct behavior as for me.
But if I change settings to display the static page on the front, excerpt shows first 55 words, which very often far more that I want when edit my posts with “more” tag.
Do you know how to correct it?
I tested this behavior on both Sparkling demo website and my local environment but it always works the same way and without any problems. Maybe you have implemented some filter for excerpt or your are using some plugin that filters excerpt in one way or another.
Right now I can’t help as both my test setups doesn’t have this problem under any circumstances.
More information would be helpful.
