Featured image proportions on homepage

Hi,
I’ve activated latest version of Activello theme recently and changed the blog posts layout on homepage to have full width images. However after these changes featured images of my articles on the homepage (blog post previews) became cropped (both left and right sides are cut off - see attached screen shot).
I’d like there to be the complete images, how can I achieve this?

Please note, I’ve also used Force Regenerate Thumbnails to regenerate all my image sizes but that didn’t help.
All my images have a recommended size (1170 x 550).

Hey there,

I hope you are well today and thank you for your question.

change the size of the image, can I see the website for easy I fix your problem.?

Here you go: http://lostglobetrotter.com

thx!

ok nice, equally, do not forget to walk on my website: bukangoogleblog.com
who knows we are friends, I like adventure and traveling.

To display the images full width you can try using the custom plugin shared in the following topic.

https://colorlibsupport.com/t/define-sizeformat-of-featured-image-on-home-page/#post-59419

Seems like it did not help. I’ve installed that custom plugin and also regenerated the thumbnail images afterwards. Can’t see any change on my homepage… do you?

there was 1 failure found once regenerating process finished (attached screen shot), not sure if it has any meaning related to my issue with the wrong featured image proportions on the homepage??

Hi Friend There.
I want to create such tags on my website, bukangoogleblog, how.?

Best Regard.

@lostglobetrotter Please try adding the following CSS code in the Custom CSS option of your theme on the below path.

Admin Area -> Appearance -> Customize -> Additional CSS

.blog img.single-featured.wp-post-image {
    width: 100%;
}

@babyblogger0 To help us keep support thread separates could you please create your own thread for your question here https://colorlibsupport.com/c/activello/ instead of replying on others thread as it makes the thread messy and hard to read.

If you want to you can also add reference of this thread in your newly created thread.

We would be more than happy to help you on your new thread.

all works thanks to that css code, even without the custom plugin you’ve provided earlier.
thank you for your help, Movin!

You are most welcome here :slight_smile:
