Found a bug with jetpack

Hi,

I recently discovered a conflict with Jetpack and thought it’s a good idea to share it with you.

I’m using the publicize and sharing tool by jetpack. When I deactivate it, all my posts disappear.

I know the problem comes from travelify because when I switched to a default theme, all my posts came back.

Maybe you should take a look at that.

Hi @spespam,

I hope you are well today and thanks for posting here.

Which version of jetpack plugin and Travelify theme are you using?

I’m using the publicize and sharing tool by jetpack. When I deactivate it, all my posts disappear.

Do you mean after deactivating publicize module of jetpack, the posts on your site don’t display but the pages display fine?

Are you getting any error message or blank screen?

Kind Regards,
Movin

I’m using all the latest versions. I always update.
Travelify 2.4.1
Jetpack 3.6.1

The posts don’t display but the pages are still there. Just blank pages. No messages error.

Hi @spespam,

Thank you for your reply.

I couldn’t reproduce the issue using latest versions of it and using publicize module.

The Jetpack plugin has a newer version 3.7 so could you please try using it?

This can be due to other plugin conflict on your site so please try temporary deactivating all plugins except jetpack and see whether everything works fine.

Can you please try temporary enabling WP_DEBUG mode? To do this, just go to wp-config.php include this:

define('WP_DEBUG',true);

You might already have a line for WP_DEBUG, so just make sure it’s set to true.

Let me know what errors if any you are getting when you face this issue.

Regards,
Movin

Actually, I switched to another theme and I’m not using Travelify anymore for now.

I tested several themes but I encounter this problem only with Travelify and not the other themes, so it comes from Travelify.

I also contacted Jetpack about this problem and here is their response : https://wordpress.org/support/topic/deactivating-jetpack-made-all-my-posts-disappear

PS : i updated jetpack, i always use the latest versions of all plugins and themes, update is automatic

Hi @spespam,

Sorry to hear of the problem you are having.

I have tested again but couldn’t reproduce the issue with Travelify theme.

If you could troubleshoot the issue as described in my following reply posted previously then we could reproduce the issue and would definitely help you to resolve the issue.

Many of our users are using Travelify theme with jetpack plugin without any issue.
