Front page not displaying

I can edit my front page, but in Customizer the “Front Page” shows your Sample Page. How do I fix this so Customizer loads the Front Page rather than the Sample Page?

Hi,

Make sure you did this,

Create a new page, and in page attributes in the right side choose the home page template, publish the page.
Go to Settings -> Readings -> Front Page Display -> Static page -> Choose the page you created in step 1.
If you mean the widgets, then you can control them in Appearance -> Widgets, and also via Appearance -> Customize.
