Front page - Projects Sidebar -> include title

Thanks in advance for this great theme and hope you are doing well.

Can you please tell me if it is possible to add the title in the Front page - Projects Sidebar ?
Please check the attachment for a more detailed view.

Hello there,

I hope you are doing well today.

You would have to go to Appearance > Widgets and add a text widget to the widget area that you want to add a title too but the widgets on the front page already have title areas in them so it would be best to use those.

Hi,

The theme is designed that way, so that the title won’t be displayed with the project, you can override it, by editing the theme file, go to this file, /wp-content/plugins/illdy-companion/widgets/class-illdy-widget-project.php by navigating via FTP, and replace its content using this content https://cl.ly/3t1W1a423Z0x it will include the title above the project like this, http://take.ms/U8zBy

The only disadvantage editing the core file is that, it will be replaced after a new update, so you need to redo it all after a plugin update, so always have a backup of these edits. This is the only way you can do this, we can’t override these using a child theme, sorry.

Instead that file, use this one, http://take.ms/LJHAv after that style it according to your needs the class is “home-project-title” you can style it to your needs, like

.home-project-title { font-size: 18px; }
