Full Width Featured Image

Hi there,
I want to have a full width featured image on my website’s page. Using featured image in the page crops the image width to something like 800 px. Is there a way I can get a full width featured image on a page?

Many Tx,

Hi Fabadmin,

I hope you are well today and thank you for your question.

You can achieve this by using custom plugin solution shared in the following topic.

Best Regards,
Movin

As always, thanks for your great support - got what I wanted.

You are most welcome here

Hi @Movin

Sorry to be reopening the issue again.

When I use a 1920 x 550 size featured image for a post. In the slider it leaves a white band before the action button (see attached slider height.png) and in the post the height is considerably reduced instead of scaling to 410 px as mentioned in documentation (attch img featured height.png)

I made the following change in the colorlib plugin code:
add_image_size( ‘sparkling-featured’, 1920, 800, true );

I need the featured image the scale to height similar to the way it shows in sparkling demo.

Thanks,

Could you please share me your site URL where it’s displaying so that i can help you?

Hello! I am new to the sparkling theme and absolutely loving it so far!

I am having a similar issue - When I set a featured image for a post, the homepage banner crops the photo about half the size. Could you help with a suggestion?

Thanks so much!

@kellymitchell It seems you are having different issue so to help us keep support thread separates could you please create your own thread for your question here https://colorlibsupport.com/c/sparkling/ instead of replying on others thread as it makes the thread messy and hard to read.

If you want to you can also add reference of this thread in your newly created thread.

We would be more than happy to help you on your new thread.
