Hello!

Per your recommendation in other threads, I’m following this tutorial to set up ads on my blog - How to Properly Add Google AdSense to Your WordPress Site - but can’t seem to get anything to display when I add the code to a Custom HTML widget.

Any suggestions?

EDIT: I’ve also tried it in a Text widget, to no avail.

Hi,

Thanks for the quick response. I installed the plugin you suggested, but it looks as though it only enables you to customise ads within posts - what about ads in the sidebar?

It would not work there. Please try using a text widget in the sidebar to hold the adsense code.

Hi,

I tried a text widget as well as an HTML widget in the first instance, and neither worked, unfortunately. The ads were actually appearing when you last replied (without my having done anything, knowingly at least), but now they’ve disappeared again.

Any other ideas on how to fix this? Thanks!

Hmmm strange,

Please try disabling any third party plugins that were not bundled with the theme as one of them may be causing a conflict with the ads.

Use this plugin to clear your cache then reload the page to see if the ads appear:
