Google Search - illdy theme showing up

Hi I have two questions -

  1. When i google search my website - ‘illdy theme’ shows up under the title of my site, is this because I am yet to contact google about my website?

  2. When i google search my website the About page comes up first instead of the Home page, how can I change this around?

Hi @aceandy88,

For SEO related issue you may need to install a seo plugin that will help you.

Try to install Yoast SEO, is an awesome plugin. After install you will be able to change the title, the appearance, the description. etc.

Hi Cristian, is there anything else I can do or am I doing this wrong as I am still having the same problem with theme illdy showing up on google search?

Hi aceandy88,

Did you installed the plugin and change the page title and description?

If so, wait for google to index your page or go in search console from google and try to index the page manually.

I found the answer: you need to find this file in your install:

https://github.com/puikinsh/illdy-companion/blob/master/widgets/class-widget-person.php

And check if you have at line 93 94 95 the " target="_blank". If you don’t have you will need to add it.
