Headline being trimmed

Hello,

I am having trouble using custom CSS to edit my site. In particular:

I am using Site Origin CSS now but was initially using the in-built Shapely Custom CSS function with no luck.

I’d appreciate some help!

Hey there,
Hope you’re doing well today

Kindly try using the plugin below to set a limit to the post title that’s a bit more than the limit that’s currently there:

For the body text, Kindly add and save the following code to Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS:

.post-content .entry-content p {
color: #000000;
}

What would you like to have for the read more and post meta sections?

I hope this helps :slight_smile:

Best Regards,

Hello and thank you. I tried the plugin but I’m afraid it didn’t work – here is the story I uploaded after setting it up, in which the headline is trimmed again: http://clovemagazine.com/dancing-homeland-akram-khans-final-performance-desh/

In terms of the rest of the “Journal” page – http://clovemagazine.com/journal/ – I’d like to change the colour of the “read more button” and the author names to a color of my choice (not the purple).

I would also like to make the category box that overlaps the lead image (e.g. DANCE on the first story) smaller.

Thank you!

Hello, I’ve added a screengrab of my problem as I’ve tried a work-around in the meantime. Thanks!

Hello there,

I hope you are doing well today.

The post title is not shortened in that post on my end. See image.

Please try out the following CSS code:

/*Read More link color*/
.post-content .more-link {
    background: royalblue;
}

/*Author Name*/
.post-content .post-meta li a {
    color: royalblue;
}

/*Reduce category box size*/
.post-content .shapely-category {
    height: 42px;
    width: 35%;
}

The shapely category box is not appearing on my end so you may have some code that has removed it.
Also, please clear your browser cache to ensure the browser is not showing a cached version of the page.
