Hello,
I just did the Activello theme update, and my website has disappeared with the mention :
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_PAAMAYIM_NEKUDOTAYIM in /home/cercleho/www/wp/wp-content/themes/activello/inc/libraries/epsilon-framework/class-epsilon-framework.php on line 140
I have tested it on my test site and it’s working fine for me using latest version of Activello theme.
It seems the issue is causing due to older version of PHP so please try updating PHP version on your server by contacting your web host.
If increasing PHP version doesn’t help for you then access your site using FTP or cPanel and delete theme directory wp-content/themes/activello in your WordPress setup folder. After deleting theme install older version of theme that was working fine for you by downloading it from https://downloads.wordpress.org/theme/activello.1.2.3.zip
This was the same pathway error log that I received which messed up my feature image size. My hosting company can revert back to the Activello theme before update. Should I do that? I will be using an outdated version.
I am also using a child theme. I tried to paste the parent Activello content.php file into my child theme, but that made no difference.
In order to get your site up and running once more, I’m going to ask that you do one of two things:
Get your hosting company to revert to a previous backup that works
Remove the theme folder from /home/cercleho/www/wp/wp-content/themes/ and then try logging in and then install the theme again through the WordPress Dashboard.
