is it possibile to hide one or more footer columns?
I’ve removed the text inside the column but the column doesn’t disappeared.
I’d like to have the space divided in only two columns.

You need to ensure that you have deleted the widgets from the footer columns completely so it should be empty that way nothing will appear.
