Sorry, if this is a basic question, but I’m learning how to developed my own site for the first time, so I’m new to all this.

Question says it all.

How would I change the color of the header?

I have a pic for my background, and it doesn’t cover the header of my page.

How would I stretch the pic, or change the color.?

Cheers, thanks

header#masthead {
    background: #000;
}

```
This didn’t do what I want to do, but this is good to know. If you look on my site the vary most top is white. Like, the picture background doesn’t fit the site.
