I want to edit the left sidebar on the Shapely contact widget (below phone# and email) so that I can add details like my business hours. Is there an easy way to do this?
It would be fantastic if we could just add our own sections there.

IM sorry to say but such thing is not optional, there is no option in the theme to add such data formatted like address or phone number, but you can add raw tax in the current section if you are good with wordpress then you can create your custom contact form 7 form and design one section with this form and your text
