How to make slider dependent of language in multiple language sites

Is there a way to make the feature slider react to the language of the homepage?

I am setting up a site with two languages and I managed to categorize the pages (no posts for now). The slider neatly reacts to that. I am using the Polylang plugin. I could not find a way to make the slider dependent on which languages is being used. E.g.: If language A is being used (www.example.com/A), the slider shows feature images of category A, if language B is being used (www.example.com/B), the slider shows feature images of category B. Now that would be so much nicer than using Metaslider, with which I was able to make it work.

The only thing I found is to turn the slider on or off. This resulted in the slider showing feature images of pages in both the “wrong” and “right” language, meaning that if you would load www.example.com/A there will be feature images of the language B as well.

Hey Oliver!

I had the same problem, but I think I found how to do it:

  1. Go to: Posts>Categories
  2. Click on “Slider”
  3. Scroll down to “Translations”
  4. Type “Slider” into the text box.

That worked for me! Hope it helps.
Cheers,

Chris
