i cant find featured images on my screen option. and how to show your images on your headline posts? Any help or thoughts?

You are looking in the wrong place. Screen Options are different from each page you are viewing. In your case you have to open Post/Page itself and then check Screen Options. Most likely featured images are already enabled by default but you still need to open Post/Page for editing to start using featured images. In post list view there is not much you can change.
