Images broken after enabling Private SSL Certificate on Hostgator

Hi All,

I have just installed the Free Private SSL of hostgator, however, the images that I have a broken images. I already contacted their support team (host gator) and advised me it might be the theme itself. I tried to upload the images again in the media, and it will still provide me a broken images.

Thanks for posting here.

To check whether this is theme related issue have you tried temporary using any default WordPress theme like Twenty Fifteen?

The images on your site are not accessible using both HTTP and HTTPS protocols from the following URLs so could you please make sure that the images exist in the uploads directory?


If you just uninstall the Free Private SSL of hostgator then is everything working fine?

You can also try using any of the following plugin solutions to check whether it resolves your issue.

Hi Movin,

I have tried your instructions and the problem is their SSL. Hostgator just reinstalled their SSL, so everything is okay now.
