I am trying to work on my portfolio and I have never had this issue before. 3 months ago when I bought this theme I set it up, uploaded my images, and they resized automatically when you opened them.
I want to now add new pieces to my portfolio. I upload the images and this time they do not automatically resize when you click on them from the homepage. They instead cropped at a really weird size. I can’t figure out what I did differently!

vertical/portrait style images if course will be cropped not correctly, we see portfolios on the homepage are displayed in the squares this means its impossible to fit the vertical image in this square without hard crop, so, there is nothing unusual, just use square style images

Thank you so much for writing me back. I do realize that. I’m sorry I wasn’t clear. I am fine with the images cropping on the homepage. However, the images do not crop correctly on the individual pages when you click on those images. Please reference the Sample 4 image attached to the original post. This image is cropped in the “blog page” that appears after you click on the images.

In this case, could you try install this plugin (Regenerate Thumbnails – WordPress plugin | WordPress.org) and regenerate your images.

I have tried this already and it, unfortunately, does not fix the issue. I don’t know if it works on the website though because I use it but nothing seems to change. This also does not fix the issue since the images I uploaded the first time seem to work fine. It is just this new set of images that I can’t seem to get to resize. I didn’t have regenerated thumbnails previously.
