Installing Shapely Breaks wordpress?

When I install the theme via word press dashboard (Upload zip file) the upload works and I am given the option to preview live or activate. If I activate the site stops working, only am given a blank white page with literally nothing on it. No dashboard no header … nothing. And then access to the site is stopped. Can not get back to the dashboard. I end up having to wipe the whole install of word press and start over.

Any ideas what might cause this?

Hi @veraqu,

Sorry to hear of the problem you are having.

It seems you are having this issue due to the older version of PHP.

To come out of this issue you don’t need to reinstall WordPress but just delete the Shapely theme using FTP.

You can download the latest version of Shapely theme from the below page and use it on your site that works on older version of PHP.
