Issue with Colorlib plugin and Modula gallery

Hello,
I would like to report an issue found today. As soon I install Modula gallery plugin the website go white screen of death.

I received an email from the website saying that there is an incompatibility with Colorlib plugin that was provided to me in the past my Movin. The custom fix was needed to hide in the blog category the slider posts.
I have 2 points:

  1. I guess most of users would like to hide the category slider, maybe is possible to do this with some custom php code instead of plugin?
  2. I saw in other posts the colorlib support gave to others the plugin with some version number, is it possible that a newer version will fix the issue?

i need some more information of the problem,
the white screen - can you tell me a more? is there any chances i can replicate this problem?
hide category - this is feature request and not the bug or problem of the plugin? :slight_smile:
version number - well, newer versions are for fixing existing problems and adding new features so yes, if the plugin has problems it will be fixed in the newer versions

this is the error from wordpress 5.2:

Details of the error

An E_ERROR error was caused in line 12 of the file public_html/wp-content/plugins/colorlib-plugin-new/colorlib-plugin.php. Error message: Call to undefined function of_get_option ()

The plugin has no version number but I can send it to you.

To replicate the issue:

  • WP 5.2
  • Sparkling child theme, last version
  • Modula gallery last verion

Which plugin is this: colorlib-plugin-new we don’t have any plugin with such name if you changed the name give it an original name, don’t change it

Good evening

These plugins were created 4 years ago and are not the default ones that are included in the theme, delete them and install plugins that are required by the theme, you will see the option to install latest versions of plugin in the appearance > install plugins
