Now, that I have your attention I am trying to figure out how to link my Mailchimp for the subscriber form. Where do I put the URL in? How do I take the submit button and link that to a working email so I can receive emails.

Do you have any subscription forms on the site? usually, such forms are generated by the plugins and they also support integration to Mailchimp, so, it depends on the plugin or method you reusing,
You can also generate some forms from Mailchimp directly and past them on the site
