So your above solution worked on my Dev site, so I confidently tried it on my live site, but for whatever reason it didn’t work. I downloaded the Illdy companion from the site you suggested above and manually updated it via FTP. Then I updated the theme via WP CMS.

My live site looked messy (what looked like the header and padding issues referred to above) and the customiser was a mess (also noted above). So I downloaded the Illdy theme files from Illdy - Free One Page WordPress Business Theme - Colorlib and uploaded and replaced them via FTP.

This leaves me where we started again. I have the Illdy theme version 1.0.35 installed and Illdy companion version 1.0.7 installed.

This means that my web front end looks fine (as it did) but my customiser is not working at all. I get this error message when trying to access the customiser:
Fatal error: Class ‘Epsilon_Editor_Custom_Control’ not found in /home/nzbud825/public_html/wp-content/plugins/illdy-companion/illdy-companion.php on line 453

Illdy theme should be version 2.0.0. If that didn’t work, please pass me the WP and FTP login details in a private reply, I will check what’s wrong in it.

Hi @laranz,

I read through the thread - uploaded manually the theme via FTP (made sure it’s 2.0.0) and re-installed the Illdy plugin. The customizer is (and since the update has been) technically there, but none of the front page widgets appear - only the jumbatron section. Was the source of the issue identified?

Read some helpful solutions in this thread, but I’m not sure if they are the right ones for my problems.

I experienced all kinds of problems after updating Illdy theme and illdy companion (i.e. content missing esp homepage sections content, layout broken and when Illdy-companion activated: no access to customizer (see fatal error message below) and not able to upload media).
My provider has put back a back-up with the previous version of Illdy Theme, but still I’ve got problems.

If I de-activate Illdy-companion I can access the customizer but if I deactivate I get this error message:

Not sure if manually deleting Illdy theme and installing the newest version can solve this problem.
And if I’m deleting the theme won’t I loose all my settings tot the theme?
