Hi,
I wonder if you there is a way to link images in the slideshow? I want to use it as an newsfeed. If not, can I use a plugin instead of the built in-slideshow?

Thanks!
/Mathilda

Hello there,

I hope you are doing well today.

As it stands, the slider only allows you to add links to the buttons in the jumbotron and not the images themselves.

Ok, but I can’t have different buttons on each image? So if I want to do this I need to change the theme then? Or can you help me with a code or something? If not possible to change jumbotron slideshow, maybe install another?

/Mathilda

Hello there,

Changing the jumbotron would require the developer to rework the theme but you can try using a third party plugin to add the post slider. Here are a few options:

> **[10WebPostSlider](https://wordpress.org/plugins/post-slider-wd/)**
>
> 10WebPostSlider is a powerful plugin for easily displaying your posts in beautiful sliders.

> **[WP Responsive Recent Post Slider/Carousel](https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-responsive-recent-post-slider/)**
>
> Display Responsive Recent Post Slider and Carousel on your site with 4 designs (Slider) and 1 designs (Carousel) using shortcode and Gutenberg block.

Ok great! But where do I put the shortcode etc to make the third party plugin shown?

Thanks!

Hello there,

You would have to add it to the page or add it to a text widget for it to appear.

Ok, but is it possible to put the slideshow in the exact same spot as jumbotron-slideshow then?

“but is it possible to put the slideshow in the exact same spot as jumbotron-slideshow then?” - check if its possible to not use or hide jumbotron, if that’s not possible then use text widget under it and we can help with custom css to hide jumbotron
