Linking portfolio view on homepage to blog posts?

Hi,
I love the boxed view of portfolio pages on the homepage with the portfolio widget. I would like to be able to have that grid view on the home page of the featured pictures but that it links instead to blog posts, not to portfolio pages. Is it possible to set up that same grid picture summary linking to the blog posts with the images being the blog post feature images?

Hello there,

I hope you are doing well today.

In order to do this, there will have to be a new Jetpack portfolio created to be used specifically for the posts in the theme so the only way to add this is to contact a developer to make additional custom changes to the theme and add the Jetpack element for the posts.
