Let me add to my list of unanswered questions…

I’d like to have a simple list of recent post titles with dates at the top of my front page.

As you can see, the front page currently shows my recent posts with photos, share buttons, and dates. What I’m trying to do is to have a list of just the titles and dates of my recent posts above what I already have. I just need a simple list in a box, not a fancy photo gallery that slides. I’d like the list to have 20-30 posts. Having a scroll bar is OK.

You can try achieving this by using the default “Recent Posts” widget in the sidebar as shown in the attached screenshots.
