Logo not showing in top bar

Hi,

When I add an image to the site identity, it no longer shows in the top bar. Instead, I get the site title but as “alternative text”. The two attachements show the site with the logo and without.

Can you suggest anything?

Thanks,
Dan

Hello,

I was able to test this on our demo site and the image appeared.

Could you please provide me with a set of login credentials so that I can have a look at this?

You can send them here in a private reply.

Hi Support,
Thank you for getting back to me.

You can log on here:
http://www.flowmojo.co.uk/test/wp-admin
username: colorlib
password: XCdGuXUJXl697)BslGK6X%4d

(while you’re there, if you can also tell me how to change the colour of the catagory icons, that would be awesome!)

Many thanks,
Dan

I have sent the private message.

Hello there,

The Appearance option is not available, please give that account an admin role in the Users menu option on the Dashboard.

Hi,
I have set your privilages to “Administrator”.

Also, there are more problems:
o The toggle to switch off related posts on the Blog Single settings doesn’t work.
o The toggle to not show catagory on the Blog Index settings doesn’t work.
o The Blog Index does not show the Featured Image (should it?)
o The Blog Posts do not show images inside the post (if you edit News Article 4, you will see an image, but it doesn’t display when posted.

Thanks,
Dan

Hello,

Thank for adding me as an admin.

I tried adding an image and it appeared but the logo images are too large.

As for the other issues, i was able to test them and they all seemed to work.
The toggles worked and the images all appeared.

Please try using Google Chrome and let me know if the issues persist.

Hi,

I’ve just tried everything in Chrome:
o I uploaded a small image for the logo (135x42). It uploads and appears in the customising pane but not on the site.
o Blog posts still don’t display images on the live site. See attachments
o Toggles still don’t remove the catagory

Thanks,

Hello,

This is quite strange as I logged in and these options worked.

Please try using another browser to see if the issue appears there.

Ive tried Chrome, Firefox and IE.

Takeing the post images as an example, If you go to this page:
http://flowmojo.co.uk/test/news/news-article-4/
You just get the comment “winter” for the image, but no image.

What about the logo? If you go to the home page:
http://www.flowmojo.co.uk/test/
the logo appears as a broken link.

It’s not my browser.

Over the weekend I created a fresh installation of WP and installed the Shapely theme. I get exactly the same issues.

Please see any of these links, in any browser you choose:
http://flowmojo.co.uk/test/blog/
http://flowmojo.co.uk/uncategorized/news-article-4/
http://flowmojo.co.uk/test/news/news-article-3/

No blog posts show the primary image or images embedded in the content, anywhere.
Oh, and the catagory toggle switches still do nothing.

You have the login for http://flowmojo.co.uk/test. You can do whatever you like to that install of WP, I’m just going to delete it when done. But if you can figure out why this is happening, that would be great.

Hello,

I tested the pages and I can see the images. Here are the images of what I see.

I am looking in the back end of the site to find the issue but all appears well to me and the site still loads the images.

Please try clearing your browser cache then reload the page and let me know if that helps.

Well this is odd. I have tried it on three different devices - 2 laptops and 1 phone. Screenshots from each are attached. I get the same problem on each one: No images

So… the question is… what does your computer have that my devices don’t?

Hello,

Were you able to clear the cache?

I am using a Windows computer and an android phone. Are you using Apple devices?

Problem “Solved”:

The problem is down to the JetPack plugin. My home router/broadband provider does not like images cached on i1.wp.com.

I have switched off the accelerator and I now see the images.

Thank you for sharing solution
I will close this case now, Feel free to contact us again if you have other questions Thanks!
