After my last update, all of my homepage contents are lost, there’s only the header, the footer, and a line in the middle saying “This is the “Home Sidebar Section”, add some widgets to it to change it.”
I tried re-installing the shapely theme, the companion plugin, still the same issue.

I am sorry for the inconvenience caused here.
The theme may have had the content overwritten so unless you had a backup made of the site then the content would be unavailable. I am sorry about this but I would recommend that you use the following plugin to make a child theme for the code changes and make a backup:
