How can I make the feature image span the entire width of the page (similar to the slider, but I do not want to use the slider)? I found a custom plugin on this forum that sets the feature image size but it doesn’t work for images bigger than the width of the content

The featured image displays on the post as shown in the attached screenshot so if you want to make it full width of page then where should we display the sidebar?
Please describe it a bit more in detail how you want the entire page to be displayed.
